Control Unleashed Class- Java's Treat and Train

Java has a Treat and Train to help her be happy in her crate. She still gets in a bit of barking.

Agility

I took these photos in May 2007 at an outdoor agility trial in Savage, MN. I went to practice shooting movement. But a dog jumping looks like every other dog jumping. I like to find interaction between people and their dogs as well as dogs in action. I take photos (or video) at every dog event I can attend.

Lynnda works Java on crosses

Lynnda's goal in life is to turn me in to a competent agility handler. She feels very sorry for my dogs. She is trying to explain to me the proper way to do crosses and lead changes.

Java was nice enough after to let me play with her too however we will spare you from having to watch me and my two left feet.

Photographing Dogs

"Running on the Dogwalk"

Tech notes: The agility area at the Twin Cities Obedience Training Club in Minneapolis, MN is dark. It is hard to stop the action of running dogs in the available light. I like to practice catching peak action in the dark.

Control Unleashed Class- Red Relaxing

Red is learning to relax in Control Unleashed class.

During the before class twilight time, Red is mostly on his mat. He was so relaxed today on his mat that he almost fell asleep twice.

Red's kennel in not in the ring near all the other dogs because he has a history of crate screaming. He has gotten alot better but I still worry that he will disrupt the other dogs (and handlers!) Today was the first week that he was relaxed enough in his crate to put his head down and close his eyes.

We have also been working on calm crate behavior at home.
